Heat Advisory Reminder

With excessive heat continuing across the state, it is important that all of us remember some basic safety precautions when dealing with the elderly and car safety.  All family members and caregivers should be reminded of the following:

Ensure that all passengers have exited the vehicle and aren’t inadvertently left in the car.
Conduct a secondary check of the vehicle every time it is parked to ensure that no one remains inside.
Make sure that seat belts and seat surfaces are not too hot before individuals sit down and receive assistance with buckling up.
